Sad story of Laika :-

There have been so many satellites and spacecraft sent from the earth into the universe, but man could only go into space because of the creatures.This is about the time when space races were going on in the Soviet Union and the United States. Some people call it the Cold War.The race between the two countries was on who would gather the information of the universe Dumb animals were killed in this race.The Soviet Union dropped so many mission without saying anyone.

To find out whether man can live in space,The Soviet Union sent many mute animals into space. Rats, butterflies, dogs, cats and then humans.

On November 3, 1957, a dog named Laika was sent into space.

When man will live in space or not? When this question arise, he decided to send a dog and that dog was Laika. Then an engineer brought her off the road. Many pets are choise to sent him to space but only Laika was choosen by him, because she live on footpath so she can beat extreme temperatures  compare to other pets.

 She was given full training and scientist also tested her to see if she could stay in space. She did many tests like staying in one box for 15 days, staying at zero gravity.The mission was scheduled to be completed in four months.Four months earlier, Russia had launched a satellite named Sputnik-1.The spacecraft was to be sent to Laika, its name was sputnik-2.The engineer had started making spacecraft.During the test, Laika health deteriorated several times,then  scientists gave her jelly food.She had beaten a very difficult situation.

The mission time was approaching. So the engineer had taken her to his house.I think the engineer knew that her last days were approaching so he brought her home to play with his children to make her happy. 

Laika had been sitting in a capsule for two days before being sent into space, so that she could get used to it.While sitting in the capsule, the engineer kissed her on the nose and then he put her in it.

The day came on November 4, 1955, when Laika was about to go into space.All programs run smoothly.Her capsule was supposed to separate when she went to a certain height, but it did not separate due to some malfunction.Shortly afterwards, the Soviet Union told everyone that Laika could not return to Earth.That spacecarft not designed to land back to earth. I think to built this spacecarft four months are less for those Engineer.

The Laika capsule was fitted with a fan, which would turn on automatically when the temperature reached 15.Due to the breakdown, the temperature of the calculus rose to 40.To see  Laika was alive or not, they built a system that could see her heartbeat. But after some time, she died on same  day due to high temperature and stress . She revolve 2000 time our earth after died. Soviet Union announced this many days  later.On 11 April 2008, they erected a statue of Laika in her memory.

Even after this, the Soviet Union sent many mute animals into space.Such experiments were carried out in the country.So after this no country wanted to send animals into space and if it did, it made it a law to bring it back. 

Because of only Laika or other animals, Now we can go to space....
